A relaxed appointment at my studio, our wedding makeup trial is usually held around 1-3 months before the big day, lasting up to 2 hours. Upon booking your trial, I send over lots of helpful guidance to help you reflect on the look you’d like. After a thorough consultation and plenty of guidance from me, we create your perfect wedding makeup, giving you confidence in your look for the big day. Wearing the makeup for the rest of the day allows you to see it in different lights and be reassured how well it lasts!
I always recommend wearing a light colour top, similar to that of your dress, and something you feel ‘nice’ in. It makes a huge difference as your eye isn’t distracted by different colours and patterns and it’s important to bare in mind you will be wearing the most glamorous dress of your life!
FAQs
- Although important, trials are optional, not essential. The trial is for the bride only and you’re welcome to bring anyone you like along to enjoy the appointment with you!
- I frequently get asked if bridesmaids require a trial, they don’t, however if they or Mother of The Bride would like a trial, I recommend them booking in for ‘occasion makeup’ on a date that suits them. If you’d like them to trial when you do, that can also be arranged.
I have a lot of experience with Mother of the Brides who are keen to look their best, but little apprehensive when it comes to ‘makeup artists!’. (Unless they prefer to be more glamorous!) I’m experienced in very natural, youthful makeup which will ensure they still look like themselves and photograph beautifully.
